Mihama American Village is one of the most popular entertainment spots in Chatan. This "Chatan Town Tourist Information Center" stands at its entrance. Adjacent to the town's parking lot, the center is easily accessible! The center offers a wide range of convenient services for sightseeing, including tourist information, displays and sales of local products, as well as multipurpose restrooms, rest areas, baby stroller rental, and baggage storage. English, Chinese, and Korean are also available, so visitors from overseas can feel at ease. If you come to Chatan, this is the town's information bureau you should visit first.

In the January 1, 2018 broadcast of "Ultra Monster Walk" (Fuji TV One affiliate), the monsters from the Ultraman series strolled through Chatan Town and stopped by this tourist information center. From left to right, "Nise Ultraman," "Nonmarto," and "Mephilus Alien," the staff of the tourist association welcomed the visit of these unique monsters. In addition to a gift of "Chitan salt" chinsuko, a specialty of Chatan, there was also a moment when the monsters interacted with a stuffed animal called "Chitan," the mascot of Chatan Town.

The program included a video message from Mayor Masaharu Noguni, who talked about the town's attractions and his interaction with the people of Chatan Town. As a commemoration of their stop at the tourist information center, the monsters and the staff posed for a commemorative photo in the "specium ray" pose.

The Chatan Town Tourist Information Center is open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. It is open every day except during the year-end and New Year holidays (12/29 - 1/3), so you can feel at ease even if you are just visiting on a trip. Please stop by when you are sightseeing in Chatan.
