Chatan Town Museum opens on November 20, 2024!
The Chatan Town Museum exhibits precious Jomon period pottery excavated from the Irehara ruins. It is a place where you can discover the natural environment and life of Chatan Town in the Jomon period.
The theme of the permanent exhibition room is "7000 Years of Memories," and it will be an important base for passing on the local culture and history to future generations. Everyone, please be sure to visit at least once.
Opening hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Closed: Mondays, national holidays, and the fourth Thursday of every month (material sorting day)
June 23rd (Memorial Day), December 29th to January 3rd of the following year
*If a Monday or the fourth Thursday falls on a national holiday or Memorial Day, the museum will also be closed the following day.
